00 00 610 Service - Engine Oil (Petrol/Gasoline Vehicles up to 09/2008)

Service - engine oil
- Change engine oil and oil filter. See 00 00 610 Engine Oil Service .
- Hand parking brake. See 34 41 006 ADJUSTING PARKING BRAKE .
  - Brake in and check for correct function
- A/C system or automatic A/C
  - Change microfilter for interior ventilation. See 64 31 011 REPLACING MICROFILTER FOR INTERIOR VENTILATION .
  - Change microfilter for recirculated air. See 64 31 017 REPLACING RECIRCULATED AIR MICROFILTER .
- At every 3rd engine oil change
  - Intake silencer: change air cleaner element. See 13 72 001 REPLACING BOTH AIR CLEANER ELEMENTS (N52K) . Shorten intervals accordingly for vehicles operated in dusty regions.
  - Change fuel filter. See 13 32 051 REPLACING FUEL FILTER (M57T2) . Shorten change interval if fuel quality is poor
  - Replace spark plugs. See 12 12 011 REPLACING ALL SPARK PLUGS (N62, N62TU) .
- Reset CBS display according to factory specification.
