11 40 000 Checking engine oil pressure (M57T2)

NOTE: Drain the full flow oil filter to prevent excessive oil discharge when removing the oil pressure switch.

IMPORTANT: Protect alternator against engine oil.
Cover alternator with suitable apparatus Risk of damage .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

IMPORTANT: Small amounts of engine oil may emerge when the oil pressure switch is removed.

Disconnect plug connection (1), remove oil pressure switch (2).

Installation

Replace sealing ring.

Install special tool 11 4 050 with sealing ring (1) in place of oil pressure switch.
