51 24 280 Removing And Installing/Replacing Bottom Left Or Right Lock Support For Rear Lid

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove trim on D-pillar at bottom  . See 51 47 105 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM ON D-PILLAR AT BOTTOM LEFT OR RIGHT .

Open rear lid (1) only until screw (2) is accessible (risk of injury by spring tension).

Release screw (2) with rear lid in this position.

Tightening torque. See BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Release screw (1) and remove support (2).
