13 62 604 Replacing pulse generator on left exhaust camshaft (S65)

(cylinder bank 5 to 8)

Necessary preliminary tasks

Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary, work through test schedules
Switch off ignition
Remove INTAKE FILTER HOUSING
Remove left ignition coil cover

Release plug connector (1) and pull off.

Release screw.

Remove pulse generator (2).

Installation:

Aluminium screws must always be replaced.

Replace sealing ring and coat with antiseize agent.

Tightening torque, 13 62 5AZ
