51 13 280 Removing and installing/replacing trim strip on roof frame at left or right

Necessary preliminary work 

E84 and E91 only: 

• If necessary, remove roof rails

Lever out trim strip (1) with special tool 009321 starting at rear.

Unclip trim strip (1) in direction of arrow.

Installation note: 

Clips (1) and seals (2) on trim strip (3) must not be damaged.

If necessary, replace faulty clips (1).

Position of clips (1) on trim strip (3) is determined by notch (4).

Installation note: 

Push trim strip (1) at front into seal (2).

Trim strip (1) must be flush with edge (3) at rear.
