51 47 491 Removing and installing/replacing rear underbody protection

WARNING: Scalding hazard!
Tasks should only be carried out on an exhaust system that has cooled down.

Release screws (1 and 2).

Unscrew nuts (3).

Pull out underbody protection (4) in direction of arrow towards bottom.

Installation:

Ensure correct seating.

Centre underbody protection (4) before tightening down screws (1 and 2).

Replacement

Installation:

If necessary, replace faulty metal nuts.
