Power Steering Gear: Removal

Draw hydraulic fluid out of tank and do not reuse.
Remove front axle support. See FRONT - E65 article in SUSPENSION.
Release screw connections for engine mounts. Remove engine mounts towards front. See Fig 1.
Unfasten nut and detach tie rod end from steering knuckle on left and right. See Fig 2.
Release both FCD couplings on steering gear. See FCD COUPLINGS .
Unscrew left and right nuts. Remove steering gear. See Fig 3.
