65 77 710 Removing and installing (replacing) left A-pillar sensor

NOTE:

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative lead and cover. Refer to 12 00 ... INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY .
- Remove footwell side trim panel on A-pillar. Refer to 51 43 070 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING SIDE TRIM PANEL, FOOTWELL, ON A-PILLAR, LEFT and 51 43 075 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING SIDE TRIM PANEL, FOOTWELL, ON A-PILLAR, RIGHT .
- Place carpet slightly to one side.
Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Unscrew bolt (2).
Unscrew nuts (3).
Installation:
Tightening torque 65 77 4AZ. Refer to AUDIO, NAVIGATION AND ANTI-THEFT - TIGHTENING TORQUES - 745I - E65 .
Make sure sensor is mounted without play.
Remove A-pillar sensor (4).
Replacement:
Carry out coding/programming.
Observe following IDC specifications:
