64 11 262 Removing and installing/replacing auxiliary water pump (automatic A/C High)

WARNING: Danger of scalding!
Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.

Remove design cover.

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Unscrew nut (2).

Open fast-release couplings and detach water hoses (1) and (2) from auxiliary water pump (3).

Remove auxiliary water pump (3).

Installation:

Guide (1) of auxiliary water pump fixture (2) must be seated exactly in mounting (3).

Replacement:

Detach auxiliary water pump fixture (1) in direction of arrow from auxiliary water pump (2).

Installation:

Make sure auxiliary water pump (2) is correctly seated in auxiliary water pump fixture (1).

Filling and bleeding the cooling system, refer to 17 00 039 VENTING COOLING SYSTEM AND CHECKING FOR LEAKS (N62) .
