64 12 590 Removing and installing or replacing muffler

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove left underbody paneling. Refer to 51 47 ... REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT OR RIGHT UNDERBODY PANELING .

Release screw (1).

Withdraw muffler (2) in direction of arrow from exhaust pipe (3).

Installation:

If necessary, replace blind rivet nut (4).
