61 35 950 Removing and installing (replacing) control unit for comfort access system

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove flap in luggage compartment panel on right. Refer to 51 47 172 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING FLAP IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM, LEFT OR RIGHT .
- Disconnect battery negative lead. Refer to 61 20 900 DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD .
Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Open catches (2) in direction of arrow and remove control unit for comfort access system (3) towards top.
Replacement:
Carry out coding/programming.
Observe following IDC specifications:
- Programming
- Coding
- If necessary, car & key memory
- CD "CIP"
