63 21 170 Removing and installing/replacing left or right rear light

Turn turn-lock fastener (1) in direction of arrow and remove trim (2).

Disconnect plug connection (1).

NOTE: Secure rear light (3) against falling out.

Release nuts (2) and remove exterior rear light (3).

Installation:

Make sure sealing frame for rear light (2) is correctly seated, replace if necessary.
Make sure guides (1) of rear light (3) are correctly seated in associated mountings.
Make sure (outer) gap of rear light (3) is uniform all round.

Replacement:

Remove trim on rear light.

If necessary, remove all socket housings for rear light.
