61 61 010 Checking/adjusting approach angle of windshield wiper arms on front windscreen

Special tools required:

00 9 221
00 9 222
00 9 331

NOTE: Wiping quality is increased if the approach angle of the windshield wiper arms is precisely adjusted.
Before checking contact angle, briefly lift wiper arms off windshield.

Place special tool 00 9 331 in rest position next to pivot point of wiper blade on windshield.

IMPORTANT: Before adjusting, cover wiper arm in area of special tools 00 9 221 and 00 9 222 with adhesive tape.

Contact angle too large (light gap at top between gauge and wiper blade):

Grip wiper arm with special tool 00 9 222 and turn with special tool 00 9 221 in direction of arrow.
