The following work steps are only applicable in the event of replacement.

Adjusting seat height and backrest inclination: 

Unscrew eccentric (1).

Apply acid-free grease to thread (2).

Screw on eccentric (1).

Turn straight areas (3) of eccentric (1) upwards (zero position).

Install actuating unit.

Press screws (1) and (2) out of hexagon head inwards and secure.

Tightening torque, see 52 12 8AZ in SEATS - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Adjust longitudinal seat setting: 

Compress release tabs (1) and (2) on seat rail on left/right with gripper (3) without play.

Push new adjusting device (1) onto threaded rod (3).

Secure expansion rivet (2).

Press actuating handle (1) downwards and lock clip (3) on adjusting device (4).

If necessary, release expansion rivet (5) and readjust setting by turning adjusting device (4).

Install front seat.

Move front seat into basic position.

Carry out function and adjustment check.

Checking adjustment of backrest inclination: 

• Front seat in basic position.
• Actuating handle (1) in zero position.
• Pin (2) must rest on pull rod (3).
• Play (A) LESS THAN EQUAL TO 0.5 mm.

Checking adjustment of seat height: 

• Front seat in basic position.
• Actuating handle (1) in zero position.
• Metal lever (2) must rest on metal lever (3).
• Play (A) LESS THAN EQUAL TO 0.5 mm.
