Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 17 other vehicles, including the 2008 BMW 760Li, 2007 BMW 760Li, 2006 BMW 760i, 2006 BMW 760Li, and 2005 BMW 760i. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Remove engine underguard. Partially remove air duct on left and right.
Remove cap. See Fig 1 .
Release nut (1, 2) and remove screw. See Fig 2 .
Installation is reverse of removal. Ensure ball pin and bore are free of grease. Replace self-locking nut. If necessary, grip at Torx socket. Tighten nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
