61 61 041 Replacing Both Windshield Wiper Blades

Move wipers into fold-back position:
- Switch on terminal "R" and then switch on again immediately.
- Press wiper lever upwards and hold for approx. 3 seconds until wiper arms stop in roughly vertical position (fold-back position).
Remove remote control (ignition key) from ignition lock.
Lift wiper arm and fold back wiper blades (3).
Press locking spring (1) in direction of arrow. Remove wiper blade (3) in direction of arrow from wiper arm (2).
Installation:
Install new wiper blade and snap into place.
Fold wiper arms onto windshield.
CAUTION:
Before switching on terminal "R" or the ignition or starting the engine, you must fold the wiper arms onto the windshield otherwise damage will be caused. Switch on terminal "R". Move windshield wipers to rest position by one-touch wiping.
