Removing Top Storage Tray (Drawer) From Function Carrier:

Version With Cordless Keypad Handset (Telephone):

If necessary, remove eject box (cordless keypad handset). Refer to 84 11 610 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING EJECT BOX (CORDLESS KEYPAD HANDSET) .

Version Without Telephone:

Unlock and open storage tray (drawer).

IMPORTANT: Cover decorative strip with a protective cover (1) to prevent scratching.

Detach drawer (4) from function carrier as follows:

With a 1 mm feeler gauge (2).
Release lock (3) by turning.
Pull storage tray towards rear out of function carrier and set down on protective cover (1).

NOTE: A hand mirror (4) will be required for viewing.

Installation:

Springs (1) must be correctly connected in mountings (2).

Catch (3) must not be damaged.
