51 41 030 Removing And Installing/Replacing Decorative Strip (Light Strip) On Left Or Right Door Trim (Front)

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Remove front door trim panel. Refer to 51 41 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL .

Pull back foam section over plug (1).

Unlock plug (1) and detach from light strip (2).

Release screws (3).

Installation:

Tightening torque, refer to 51 41 5AZ in BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Lever out decorative strip (1) at rear and front from door trim (2).

Installation:

Insert guides (3) correctly in mountings (4) of air inlet trim (5).

Installation:

Slide light strip (2) in decorative strip (4) fully towards rear.

Following parts of decorative strip (4) must not be damaged:

Guides.
Light strip.
Screw connections.
