37 15 055 Removing And Installing/Replacing EDC Control Unit

IMPORTANT:

Comply with notes and instructions on handling fiber-optic cables. Refer to 61 00... NOTES ON HANDLING OPTICAL FIBERS .
After installation:
- Carry out programming/coding. Refer to DIAGNOSIS PROGRAMMING/CODING .
Necessary Preliminary Tasks:
- Remove glovebox. Refer to 51 16 367 REMOVING AND INSTALLING RIGHT GLOVEBOX (WITH ACTIVE KNEE PROTECTOR) WITH HOUSING .
- Remove fuse box from instrument panel carrier.
Disconnect both plug connections (1).
If necessary, disconnect plug connections of other control units and tie up wiring assemblies.
Remove main wiring harness from A-pillar and pull a little towards rear.
Unclip EDC control unit (2) and remove towards rear.
