34 51 550 Removing And Installing/Replacing DSC Precharging Pump

NOTE: Observe safety instructions on raising the vehicle. Refer to 00..... LIFTING VEHICLE WITH A LIFTING PLATFORM .
After completing tasks, bleed brake system. Refer to 34 00 025 REPLACING FLUID IN ABS/ASC+T BRAKE SYSTEM .

Remove microfilter (1).

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Installation:

Make sure plug connection engages correctly.

Release brake lines (1) and (2).

Installation:

Tightening torque, refer to 34 32 1AZ in BRAKES - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Line connections (see designation on precharging pump):

HZ: Line to brake master cylinder

BA: Line to expansion tank

IMPORTANT: Do not mix up brake lines. Catch escaping brake fluid.

Release screw (3).

Installation:

Tightening torque, refer to 34 51 11AZ in BRAKES - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Press catch (1) in direction of arrow and disconnect plug.

Release screw (1).

Installation:

Tightening torque, refer to 34 51 11AZ in BRAKES - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Remove sleeve (2) and rubber mount (3).

Installation:

Ensure proper seating of rubber mounts.

Modify holders (4) and (5).
