22 32 001 Replacing Rubber Mount For Transmission Mounting

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:
- Remove complete exhaust system. Refer to 18 00 020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE EXHAUST SYSTEM (N73) .
- Remove heat shield at rear. See 11 FUEL TANK WITH MOUNTING
- Remove heat shield at front. See 11 FUEL TANK WITH MOUNTING
- Remove transmission underbody panelling. See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
- Observe safety instructions on raising the vehicle. Refer to 00..... LIFTING VEHICLE WITH A LIFTING PLATFORM .
Release crash pin.
Installation:
Tightening torque, refer to 22 32 1AZ in ENGINE AND GEARBOX SUSPENSION - TIGHTENING TORQUES .
When fitting a new cross-member, the crash pin must also be replaced.
Screw head of crash pin must rest on transmission cross-member.
Unscrew nuts (2).
Release both rubber mount nuts on transmission.
Release screws (1) and remove transmission cross-member.
