11 22 510 Removing And Installing/Replacing Flywheel (N73)

Special Tools Required:
- 11 9 260
- 11 9 263
- 11 9 264
Necessary Preliminary Tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative terminal. Refer to 12 00... INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY .
- Remove and install center equipment compartment bulkhead. Refer to 51 71 085 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CENTER OF ASSEMBLY COMPARTMENT BULKHEAD .
- Remove and install front underbody protection.
- Remove and install complete exhaust system. Refer to 18 00 020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE EXHAUST SYSTEM (N73) .
- Remove and install reinforcing plate.
- Remove and install automatic transmission. Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION .
Block flywheel (1) with special tool. 11 9 260/11 9 263/11 9 264.
Unfasten flywheel screws.
Remove flywheel (1).
Installation:
Flywheel (1) is secured with an alignment pin.
Fit new flywheel screws.
Clean crankshaft thread for flywheel screws.
Installation:
Tightening torque, refer to 11 22 1AZ in ENGINE - TIGHTENING TORQUES .
Assemble engine.
