11 00 045 Checking Absolute Compression Of All Cylinders

Diagnosis And Information System (DIS)

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Remove equipment wall.
Remove spark plug from 8th cylinder.
(Without removing manifold).
Connect DIS Tester.
Connect charger.

Test:

Call up Diagnosis.
Select vehicle > right arrow button.
Function selection:
- Complete vehicle.
- Drive.
- Engine management:
  - Valve gear.
  - Valvetronic variable valve gear.
  - Mechanical components/function.
Test schedule > right arrow button.
- Compression pressure check > right arrow button.
Follow DIS Tester instructions.

NOTE: Clear fault memory. A mechanical compression pressure check is not possible.
