61 61 250 Replacing windshield wiper motor (Z3 Roadster, Z3 Coupe)

NOTE: Prior to removal, allow wiper motor to run into rest position (if still possible).

Necessary Preliminary Tasks: 

Unfasten nut on motor crank and pry off crank from motor.

NOTE: Drive rods remain fitted, illustrated without drive rods for sake of clarity.

Unfasten screws and remove wiper motor from console.

Tightening torque, 61 61 1AZ. Refer to 61 61 WINDSHIELD WIPERS.

Installation: 

Replace screws.

Screw new wiper motor onto wiper bracket, connect to vehicle wiring harness and run into rest position.

Installation: 

Position motor crank on shaft so that it forms a line with drive rod on passenger side.

Turn motor crank at nut out of rest position slightly, then grip firmly and screw down.

Tightening torque, 61 61 4AZ. Refer to 61 61 WINDSHIELD WIPERS .
