61 31 020 Removing and installing/replacing ignition starter switch

Unscrew screw.

Unscrew screw.

Pull bottom trim panel to the side out of the clips.

Remove screw and take off lower section of steering-column panelling.

Unscrew headless screws on both sides, pull out switch.

Disconnect plug connection.

Installation: 

Check position of ignition-start switch in relation to steering-wheel lock.

Check position of turn-indicator lever in relation to steering wheel.

Secure headless screws with varnish.

CAUTION: After installation, carry out mechanical test (lock cylinder) and electric operational check (e.g ignition, radio, etc.)
