36 10 008 Electronic balancing of left or right front wheel (finish balancer)

Always balance wheels in a stationary state prior to electronic balancing,

refer to 36 10 508 STATIONARY WHEEL BALANCING (WHEEL REMOVED)  .

CAUTION: Balancing should always be carried out on a solid surface (concrete floor without basement).

If the displayed value for finish-balancing is more than 15 grams on one wheel, the possible causes (e.g. inaccurate stationary balancing, wheel centering, etc.) must be eliminated before finish-balancing is completed and the previously finish-balanced wheel must be rechecked.

Apply balancing gauge on control arm.

Position of application:

Outside of control arm on narrow cross section, approx. 50 mm away from ball joint.

Use a suitable take-up pivot or additional pivot.

CAUTION: Vehicle must not be loaded!

Lower car slowly.

Do not let it fall on control arm.

Otherwise wheel suspension could be damaged.

Make a chalk mark on side of tire opposite valve.

Connect wires for test sensor.

Balance wheel according to instructions supplied with balancing machine.
