61 31 104 Removing and installing/replacing shifters for SMG transmission (both)

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove steering wheel retaining plate (sports steering wheel), refer to 61 31 220 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING MULTIFUNCTION STEERING WHEEL SWITCH (SPORTS STEERING WHEEL) .
NOTE:
Illustrations show sports steering wheel (4) removed.
Disconnect plug connections (1).
Loosen screws (2).
Remove both shifters for SMG transmission (3) in direction of arrow from sports steering wheel (4).
Installation:
Make sure electrical leads are correctly routed.
