32 41 ... Replacing pressure line II for power steering (vehicle with Dynamic Drive) (N62)

Seal off pipe connections with plugs.

After installation:

• Fill and bleed hydraulic system, refer to 32 13 006 BLEEDING POWER STEERING UNIT .
• Check pipe connections for leaks
• Version with active front steering: Carry out adjustment for active front steering, refer to 32 10 005 ADJUSTMENT FOR ACTIVE FRONT STEERING .
• If necessary, carry out initial operation for Dynamic Drive, refer to 37 10 001 INITIAL OPERATION WITH TEST RUN OF DYNAMIC DRIVE .

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Draw off and dispose off hydraulic fluid from fluid reservoir

  Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations

• Lower front axle support
• Release union nut of pressure line I at junction

Unscrew nut (1).

Disconnect pressure line (2) from holder.

Unscrew nut (1).

Disconnect pressure line (2) from holder.

Unclip wiring harness.

Release screw (1).

Place fluid sump underneath for residual fluid.

Release banjo bolt (1).

Disconnect pressure line (2) from power steering gear (3) and remove towards front.

Installation: 

Make sure pressure line II is laid without tension and with sufficient spacing to adjoining components.

Replace sealing rings.
