Removal & Installation

- Before proceeding, follow air bag service precautions. See AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
- Remove appropriate front or rear door, or rear side trim panel. Disconnect side air bag module electrical connector(s). Remove and discard side air bag mounting screws. Remove side air bag module.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Use NEW micro-encapsulated mounting screws and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system. Perform system operation check to ensure system is functioning properly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
