51 31 242 Replacing rubber frame (bottom) for rear window (security)

Open rear lid.
IMPORTANT:
Rubber frame (1) features an aluminum section inlay (2).
Carefully unwind rubber frame (1) (rear window breakage).
(3) Crushed butyl omitted
(4) Glue
(5) Rear window
Installation:
Replacement of rubber frame without rear window removal:
Cut open rubber frame at marked point (6) and remove rib over entire length.
Apply adhesive in groove on windscreen side and stick in rubber frame (1).
Replacement of rubber frame with removed or new rear window:
Cut open rubber frame at marked point (6) and remove rib over entire length.
Apply adhesive in groove on windscreen side and stick in rubber frame (1).
