BMW Condition Based Service

Important! The operations set out below always refer to the maximum possible scope of a service-inspection. The exact scope for the vehicle in question must be read and printed out specifically for each vehicle via the KeyReader/SAM (BMW specific equipment).
Standard scope of service: Check check control messages, check telltale and warning lamps.
Service - vehicle check:
- Diagnostic Brief Test .
- Check lighting system, check instrument and indication field lighting, warning and telltale lamps, heater fan, horn, headlight flasher, hazard warning system
- Seat belts: check condition of belt strap, function of inertia reel mechanism, locking reel and belt buckle
- Check windshield washer system
- Body: Check for corrosion (except cavities)
- Trigger rollover protection system (Convertible) via diagnosis interface. Warning: open convertible top first .
- Tires: Check tread depth, pattern, external condition and inflation pressure and correct if necessary (spare wheel as well).
- Initialize Run Flat Indicator
- Check battery (magic eye), if necessary recharge battery
- Steering fluid reservoir: Check fluid level
- Checking coolant level and concentration, topping up if necessary
- Windscreen washer system: Check fluid level, top up if necessary
- Brake lines and connections: Check for leaks, damage and correct position
- Floor plate incl. all visible components: Check for damage, leaks, corrosion
- Steering components: Check for play, leaks, damage and wear
- Check roadworthiness (test drive): Brakes, Steering, Shock absorber and Clutch
- Reset CBS display according to factory specification. See MODELS WITH CONDITION BASED SERVICE (CBS) .
