63 12 895 Replacing electronics box/control unit for left adaptive headlight

WARNING: Version with xenon headlights: Danger to life due to high voltage! Therefore, before removing, disconnect all components from the voltage supply (lighting system and ignition off).
Work on the entire xenon lighting system (control unit, ignition unit with bulb) may only be carried out by specialist personnel.
IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks 

Release screws (1). Tightening torque 63 12 4AZ .

Remove electronics box/control unit for Adaptive Headlight (2) from headlight.

Installation note: 

Make sure seal is correctly fitted on electronics box/control unit for Adaptive Headlight (2).

Fit electronics box/control unit for Adaptive Headlight (2) exactly on headlight.

Make sure pin housing (3) of electronics box/control unit for Adaptive Headlight (2) is correctly seated in headlight connector housing (4).

Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .
