51 45 310 Removing and installing (replacing) center dashboard cover

Special tools required: 

Necessary preliminary tasks 

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!
Carry out the following operation carefully so as to avoid damage.
Tape off instrument panel trim in working area.

Release screws (1).

Lift out cover for center of dashboard (2) from the mounting points (3) in the instrument panel trim with special tool 00 9 317 and pull forward.

Disconnect plug connections (1) and remove center dashboard cover (3).

Installation note: 

Make sure retaining clips (2) are correctly seated on center dashboard cover (3).

Replace defective clamps.

Replacement: 

Remove CENTRE CONSOLE CONTROL PANEL .

Remove CONTROL PANEL FOR HEATER - AIR CONDITIONING .
