64 53 517 Replacing desiccant insert for air conditioning system

Avoid contact with refrigerant and refrigerant fluid.
Refrigerant circuit is under high pressure!

IMPORTANT:
Risk of damage!
Restart engine only when air conditioning system has been correctly filled.
Follow INSTRUCTIONS for opening and replacing parts in refrigerant circuit.
If air conditioning system is opened for more than 24 hours: replace desiccant insert for air conditioning system .

Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove CONDENSER .
Remove protective cap (1) from capacitor (2).
Press sealing cap (1) inwards and remove circlip (2).
With assistance of a screwed-in screw (1), remove sealing cap from capacitor (3).
Installation note:
Replace seals (1) on end cap (2).
Use special tool 00 9 030 to fit sealing rings (1) without damaging them.
IMPORTANT:
Risk of damage!
Removal is made more difficult if rib (2) is damaged!
Removal is made more difficult if rib (2) is damaged!
Carefully pull out desiccant insert (1) with a pair of wide pliers on rib (2).
