52 17 415 Replacing support for left or right front seat (comfort)

WARNING: US/CND front passenger seat (with OC3 mat) only: The support can only be removed in conjunction with the OC3 mat. If support is defective, both parts may only be replaced together. After fitting new support, enable OC3 mat with BMW diagnosis system.

Removing seat cover for front seat. Refer to 52 13 400 REPLACING SEAT COVER FOR LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (NORMAL/SEMI-ELECTRIC) , 52 14 400 REPLACING SEAT COVER FOR LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (NORMAL/ELECTRIC) , 52 16 400 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SEAT COVER FOR LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (SPORT/ELECTRIC) , and 52 17 400 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SEAT COVER FOR LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (COMFORT) .
Removing sensor mat. Refer to 65 77 598 REPLACING SENSOR MAT FOR DRIVER'S S SEAT OCCUPANCY DETECTOR and 65 77 600 REPLACING SENSOR MAT FOR PASSENGER seat occupancy detector .

Enabling seat occupancy detector (OC3 mat):

Connect BMW diagnosis system.
Release seat occupancy detector.
Clear fault memory if necessary.
