11 23 010 Removing and installing/replacing vibration damper (N62/N62TU)

Remove alternator drive belt. Refer to 11 28 010 REPLACING ALTERNATOR DRIVE BELT (N62/N62TU) .

Remove A/C compressor drive belt. Refer to 11 28 050 REPLACING A/C COMPRESSOR DRIVE BELT (N62) .

Remove fan cowl. Refer to 17 11 035 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FAN COWL WITH ELECTRIC FAN (N62, N62TU) .

Release screws and remove vibration damper (1).

Installation:

Vibration damper is secured on hub with an alignment pin (4).

Installation:

Fit bore (2) in vibration damper (1) on alignment pin in hub.

Fit washer (3).

Replace screws.

Tightening torque, refer to 11 23 3AZ in ENGINE - TIGHTENING TORQUES - 545I (4.4L) E60 .
