Service - rear brakes

- Change brake pads, clean brake air ducts. See 34 21 200 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING BRAKE LININGS ON BOTH REAR DISC BRAKES .
- Brake discs: see 34 21 320 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING BOTH REAR BRAKE DISCS (S85)

- Check surfaces and thickness.
- If necessary: Replace
- Handbrake: see 34 41 220 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING ALL HANDBRAKE SHOES

- Check condition, brake lining thickness and function
- If necessary: Replace
- Reset SERVICE INTERVAL REMINDER LIGHTS according to factory specification.
NOTE:
- Clean brake air ducts.
- Replace brake disks if they drop below minimum thickness and in event of scoring, heat cracks or thickness difference. See 34 21 320 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING BOTH REAR BRAKE DISCS (S85) .
- Apply a thin coat of grease to wheel centering on light alloy wheels.
- Issue a separate invoice for replacing the brake discs and handbrake shoes.
