72 12 050 Removing and installing side airbag (front seat)

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative lead , see 61 20 900 DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD .
- Partially detach backrest cover , see 52 13 405 REPLACING BACKREST COVER FOR LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (NORMAL/SEMI-ELECTRIC) or 52 17 405 REPLACING BACKREST COVER FOR LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (COMFORT) .
Remove cover (1).
Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Release screws.
Installation:
Replace screws.
Tightening torques 72 12 06AZ , see 72 12 AIRBAG MODULES .
Remove airbag module (1) from inner bag (2).
Installation:
Pull inner bag (2) fully over airbag module (1) and screw brackets.
