65 77 605 Replacing sensor mat for passenger seat occupancy detector

WARNING:
US/CDN front passenger seat (with OC3 mat) only:
If seat cover is defective, seat cover, padding and OC3 mat must be replaced together.
The same applies to a faulty OC3 mat or padding. Both parts can only be replaced together with the seat cover.
New seat cover is supplied with padding, OC3 mat and if necessary seat heating.
After fitting, the OC3 mat must be enabled with the diagnosis system.
Individual parts not available.

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove seat cover for passenger seat , see 52 13 400 Replacing seat cover for left or right front seat (normal/semi-electric) or 52 14 400 Replacing cover for left or right front seat or 52 16 400 Removing and installing/replacing seat cover for left or right front seat (sport/electric) or 52 17 400 Removing and installing/replacing seat cover for left or right front seat (comfort) .
Pull sensor mat (1) off passenger seat padding (2) and feed out plug housing (3).
Installation:
- To avoid malfunctions, make sure sensor mat (1) is cleanly laid:
- Lay plug housing (3) in designated recess
- Secure sensor mat (1) to bonding surface
- Lay sensor mat (1) straight and without kinks
