41 12 535 Replacing Complete Rear Luggage Compartment Floor (Tail Panel Removed): Notes

Read contents of BODY, GENERAL  and observe relevant service information.

STRIP DOWN  vehicle

Place vehicle on straightening bench.

Following new body parts are required:

• (1) Wheel arch, rear left and right
• (2) Side member, rear left and right
• (3) Side member, top left and right
• (4) Luggage compartment floor

Carry over the work step shown symmetrically to the other side of the vehicle.

Open weld joints in area (1).

Open weld joints in area (1).

Remove middle lashing rail mounting (2).

Carry over the work step shown symmetrically to the other side of the vehicle.

Mark severance cut (1) in accordance with measurement a and cut.

Dimension a = 10 mm

Open weld joints in area (2).

Carry over the work step shown symmetrically to the other side

of the vehicle. Mark severance cut (1) in accordance with previous severance cut and cut.

Installation: 

Adjust new parts to fit with straightening attachment or universal mount.

Weld in REINFORCEMENT PLATES  at all severance cuts.
