33 11 694 Overview of rear axle final drive (Dynamic Performance Control)

NOTE: Always replace gasket on both sides

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Drain final drive oil from all 3 oil chamber s.
Remove rear axle final drive .

Drive out drive flange (1) with special tools 13 5 251 and 13 5 253.

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage! Adhere to the utmost cleanliness Do not remove drive flange and servomotor. Failure to comply with this instruction will result in serious damage to the rear axle final drive!

Release screws. Carefully remove super positioning unit with drive flange from final drive. Tightening torque 33 11 8AZ .

Clean sealing faces (1).

Place seal (1) on super positioning unit and align. Mount super positioning unit with drive flange on rear axle final drive. Carefully turn drive flange until flange/final drive teeth are flush and super positioning unit/final drive engages up to stop.

IMPORTANT: Super positioning unit must not be tightened using the screws on the rear axle final drive!

After installation: Install rear axle final drive . Replace all oils in rear axle final drive.
