32 41 250 Removing and installing/replacing fluid reservoir for power steering: Notes

WARNING: DANGER OF POISONING if oil is ingested/absorbed through the skin!
RISK OF INJURY if oil comes into contact with eyes and skin!

IMPORTANT: Adhere to the utmost cleanliness. Do not allow any dirt to enter the hydraulic system.
Seal off hydraulic lines with plugs.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Draw off and dispose of hydraulic fluid from fluid reservoir

Unscrew nuts.

Remove shims.

Installation:

Replace self-locking nuts.

Tightening torque 32 41 1AZ .

NOTE: Raise and/or turn fluid reservoir in order to gain better access to plug connection and hoses.

If necessary, disconnect plug connection at level switch.

Release suction line (2) and cooler return line (3) from fluid reservoir (1) and detach in direction of arrow.

Lift out fluid reservoir (1).
