17 11 120 Removing and installing/replacing cooling radiator for intercooler (N63)

Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.

IMPORTANT:
When working on the cooling circuit, protect the alternator against fouling.
Cover alternator with suitable materials.
Failure to comply with this procedure may result in an alternator malfunction.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove front underbody protection . See 51 47 490 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Remove fan cowl
- Release radiator air duct . Do not remove air duct. Pull air duct forwards only. See 51 71 099 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING RADIATOR AIR GUIDE .
- Drain coolant for intercooler.
Release screws.
Remove cover (1)
Release and disconnect coolant hoses (1).
Lift out cooling radiator for intercooler (2).
Assemble engine.
After completing work, fill intercooler with coolant.
Vent cooling system for intercooler .
Check cooling system for leaks.
Assemble engine.
