54 34 211 Replacing Tension Cable (Long Or Short)

WARNING:
Soft top becomes pressureless without a warning signal. For all work, secure soft top with a suitable support tool against collapsing.
Ensure Convertible top is supported in the middle.
Ignition must remain switched off during the repair work.
Failure to comply with this instruction may result in the hydraulic valves incurring preliminary damage.
Overview of tension cables:
IMPORTANT:
Tension cables and contour cables must not be shortened.
They must be replaced if damaged.
Installation:
Secure tension cables and contour cables in event of repair to main pillar plate by means of knots.
Tie knot to end of cable with excessive length of max. 5 mm.
