51 43 034 Removing And Installing/Replacing Rear Left Or Right Lower Side Trim Section: Notes

Risk of damage!
When working on trim panel components, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear seat . See SEATS - REPAIR (CONVERTIBLE) .
- Release upper side trim section (do not remove)
Release screws (1).
Release retainers (2) and clips (3).
Feed lower side trim section (4) out of entrance cover strip.
Disconnect all associated plug connections and remove lower side trim section (4) in inward direction.
Installation:
If necessary, replace faulty retainers (2) and clips (3).
Installation:
Feed in lower side trim section (1) in area of entrance cover strip (2).
Position lower side trim section (1) correctly at retainers and clips and clip into position.
Make sure seal (3) is correct installation position in area of belt guide.
