51 16 196 Removing And Installing/Replacing Cover For Center Armrest

When working on trim panel components, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove trim on storage compartment at rear

Unclip trim (1) on left/right.

Open cover (1).

Detach spring (2) on left/right.

Installation:

Make sure spring (2) is correctly seated

Press catches (1) together.

Pull out rotary shaft (2) on left/right.

Fold cover (1) back until it feeds out of storage compartment (2).

Installation:

If necessary, replace rubber damper (1) on left/right.
