84 31 541 Removing and installing/replacing handsfree microphone on steering column (Convertible)

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove upper section of steering column trim . See 32 31 003 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING UPPER SECTION OF STEERING COLUMN TRIM (128i) or 32 31 003 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING UPPER SECTION OF STEERING COLUMN TRIM (135i) .
Unclip hands-free microphone (1) from steering column trim (2) and feed associated wiring harness out of steering column trim (2).
Installation:
Make sure wiring harness is correctly laid.
Catches for hands-free microphone (1) must not be damaged or missing.
Make sure hands-free microphone (1) is correctly engaged on steering column trim (2).
