Draining/Topping Up Gear Oil In Manual Transmission

Draining gear oil: release oil drain plug (1) and filler plug (2). For E60 vehicles, see Figure . For Z4, see Figure . Clean oil drain plug (1), screw in and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Fill transmission with gear oil. until overflowing. Screw in filler plug (2). Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
