65 95... Removing and installing/replacing luggage compartment equipment carrier (Security)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Equipment carrier (1) is installed above battery (2). Release screws (5), lift equipment carrier (1) off battery, disconnect BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD .

  1. 3 Relay carrier with relays and jumbo fuses
  2. 4 Fuse carrier, 10-slot
  3. 5 Retaining screws, equipment carrier

Overview, equipment carrier, components:

  1. 5 Distribution box
  2. 6 Expander rivet
  3. 7 Security control unit
  4. 8 Intercom system control unit
  5. 9 Panic Close power window module
  6. 10 Intercom system booster

Ground connections for control units are screwed to ground point (1) in luggage compartment on right.

Release screws (1), remove expander rivet (2), detach distribution box (3) in direction of arrow; if necessary, disconnect plug connector and remove components.

Installation: 

Secure components on equipment carrier, attach distribution box (3) and secure with plastic expander rivet (2).
