64 52 524 Replacing A/C system compressor (N62, with Dynamic Drive)

Follow safety instructions for handling R 134a refrigerant.  
Avoid contact with refrigerant and refrigerant oil.
Follow safety instructions for handling refrigerant oil.  
IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!
Restart engine only when A/C system has been correctly filled.
Read and comply with notes on replacing compressor.  
Follow instructions  for opening and replacing parts in refrigerant circuit!
If A/C system is opened for more than 24 hours:
Replace drier insert for A/C system  

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

IMPORTANT: Do not place front panel center section (2) on jump start terminals.
Do not kink Bowden cables for engine hood/bonnet locking.

Release screws (1).

Remove front panel center section (2) in direction of arrow and place to one side.

Release screws (1) and feed out refrigerant lines (2).

Tightening torque 64 53 6AZ, see 64 53 REFRIGERANT LINES AND EXPANSION VALVE

Release screw (1) and disconnect refrigerant lines.

Replace all sealing rings and moisten with refrigerant oil.

Tightening torque 64 53 6AZ, see 64 53 REFRIGERANT LINES AND EXPANSION VALVE

IMPORTANT: Secure compressor (2) against falling out.

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release screw and nut (3).

Release bolts (4), remove bracket for oil lines (5) and feed out compressor (2) with refrigerant lines downwards.

Tightening torque 64 52 3AZ, see 64 52 A/C COMPRESSOR

Adapter sleeves (1) must not be damaged.

Replace damaged adapter sleeves.

Installation: 

Before feeding in compressor, insert rear bolt (1) with shim (2).

After installation: 

Replacement: 

Release screws (1) and remove refrigerant lines.

Installation: 

Replace all sealing rings and moisten with refrigerant oil.

Tightening torque 64 52 1AZ, see 64 52 A/C COMPRESSOR
